Gedevan Popkhadze was elected as the first deputy chairman of the Legal Issues Committee.
Seven members of the Legal Committee supported Popkhadze.
Three candidates were nominated at the committee sitting - Gedevan Popkhadze, Levan Gogichaishvili and Ruslan Pogosyan.

Voting was held twice.
Gedevan Popkhadze received 6 votes for the first time, Levan Gogichaishvili 5, Ruslan Poghosyan 1.
Because of such distribution of votes, the former chairman of the legal committee nominated Levan Gogichaishvili and Gedevan Popkhadze as the candidates for the second time.
In the second round of the ballot, Gedevan Popkhadze won seven votes.
