The Supreme Court has not satisfied the suit filed by Judge Kakabadze against Fady Asly. The ground of Vladimer Kakabadze`s appeal was the statement made by the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce in Georgia two years ago where he referred to the judge as corrupt.
Kakabadze requested 20 thousand GEL for compensation of moral damages. He has won the case in two instances, but the Supreme Court has, as Fady Asly claims, acquitted him.
The accusation of the judge in corruption was preceded by his decision, according to which Tobacco International Brands were fined with $ 90 million.

Judge Kakabadze"s suit was upheld by a large number of judges" clan members against me because they did not want anyone to talk about their corruption. We lost the case in the city and the appellate courts, and I was very surprised when the Supreme Court passed the decision in our favor. This means that there are judges in this institution, on whom the clan has no influence. If the clan member get into the Supreme Court, it will lose its independence. The judiciary system in Georgia has already had a very bad reputation and it will make this situation much worse, "Fady Asly said.
