Britain`s priority is to leave the EU on Oct 31 – the Queen

The Government`s priority "has always been to secure the United Kingdom`s departure from the European Union on October 31", the Queen said on Monday morning.

In her Queen`s Speech delivery, setting out the legislative agenda of this parliamentary term, she said: "My Government intends to work towards a new partnership with the European Union, based on free trade and friendly co-operation."

Negotiations on Brexit conditions between London and Brussels began in 2017.
