The court rejected to recognize any of the 16 people, including Mako Gomuri, as a victim in the June 20 case. The decision has been made by the judge of the Tbilisi City Court, Nino Chakhnashvili.

"When we first applied to the prosecutor"s office, we knew that it would be a negative answer. The second time I was already expecting a positive answer. We have been refused from the court and we do not know why we could be refused. It has been 4 months and it may take another year to investigate ?!" - Mako Gomur noted.

According to GYLA Chairman Sulkhan Saladze, the Government avoids responsibility.

"The State does not recognize the specific persons who have suffered injuries and does not consider them to be victims. The Government avoids responsibility," said Sulkhan Saladze.

On October 11, GYLA applied to the court on behalf of the victims.
