A 15-year-old child has died in Russian-occupied Abkhazia after being admitted to the hospital on April 7 in critical condition.

According to the local media the child was tested for COVID-19 and medics are waiting for the results.

The patient died within one hour after being transferred to the hospital on April 7.

The minor had disabilities and many chronic diseases. Earlier on April 3 he was transferred to a children’s hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of gastrointestinal infection without any symptoms of coronavirus.
