Four of 46 inmates checked for coronavirus on January 6 in Tbilisi tested positive.
According to the Special Penitentiary Service, 2 out of 4 inmates are from No.15 penitentiary facility, 1 is a newly detained individual from No. 8 prison’s quarantine zone, while the other one is an inmate from No. 17 penitentiary facility.
The Special Penitentiary Service reports that the health condition of all newly infected inmates is stable. They are under supervision of doctors at a hospital. All the contacts of the inmates were tested for the COVID-19 and the results were negative.
