If taxis don’t pass mandatory technical inspection, their licenses will be revoked

Technical inspection is mandatory for licensed taxis. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“During the pandemic, the City Hall has given taxi drivers an opportunity to avoid mandatory technical inspection. Technical injection dates were postponed for taxi drivers. However, today is the time for taxi drivers to pass a technical inspection, otherwise their licenses will be revoked”, - said Kakha Kaladze.

He instructed the meeting attendees to inform taxi drivers of the details and deadlines.

Georgian government introduced step-by-step technical inspection of vehicles on January 1, 2018.
