“We had a serious recovery, which was a very important positive signal against the background of other countries in September, October. But the situation in the last quarter, in particular the second wave, had an impact on our region, the EU, and the Georgian economy. The result is worse than we predicted and it is because of the COVID-19. The planned steps of the Government, the decisions of the Coordinating Council to take preventive measures at the end of November and to impose restrictions, which are now gradually being eased, were absolutely adequate.

You can see that the economic situation due to the coronavirus is not so good, however, according to the world trends and prognosis of the financial organizations, we have all the prerequisites for 2021 to be a year of growth and recovery”, - said Natia Turnava.
