Cases of coronavirus infection among persons vaccinated against the virus have been reported in Georgia. Such a statemen made today the Head of the National Center for Disease Control.
“We always emphasize and say that, of course, vaccination is very important and preventive. But there is nothing absolute in the medicine, so vaccinated persons may get infected, and we already have cases of this.
In case of single-dose vaccinations, approximately 0.8% were infected, and in double-dose vaccinations - up to 0.2-0.3%. For the most part, all of them transmitted the disease relatively mildly, almost without hospitalization or intensive medical care”, - explained Amiran Gamkrelidze.
