Yesterday Rustavi 2 reported an alleged meeting of the country’s ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili and the former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, now the leader of the opposition party For Georgia, at the Mayflower Hotel in the United States’ capital.

Kurieri filmed Saakashvili leaving the hotel, with the former President of Georgia refusing to offer comments on the record. Rustavi 2 said yesterday that delegations of both opposition parties (United National Movement and For Georgia) had stayed at the same hotel while Georgia’s former leaders allegedly had their meeting.
