The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department and Adjara Police Department of under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities, 3 persons convicted in the past at different times- M.P. (DoB 1974), A.M. (DoB1986) and K.G. (DoB1967) were arrested for illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities.

The committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department, as a result of M.P"s personal search and search activities held in his place of temporary residence, seized up to 3 kilograms of “heroin”, while during a personal search of A.M. up to 100 grams of “heroin” has been seized.

As a result of the personal search of G.K and search activities held in his residential house the officers of Adjara Police Departments seized drugs containing “heroin”, buprenorphine and methadone as evidence, as well as cash.

Investigation on the facts of illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities is in progress under Article 260, Part VI of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
