According to Rustavi 2, one person detained for attacking Bank of Georgia branch in Batumi. The mentioned branch of the Bank of Georgia has already resumed its work.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation under 2 articles: Article 179 [robbery] and Article 236 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to illegal purchase of firearms.

The incident happened a few hours ago. The robber tried to intimidate the bank employees with a gun and demanded to open the cash register.
