Public funeral of helicopter crash victims ongoing at Sameba Cathedral

The public funeral of the rescuers and medics who died in the helicopter crash near Gudauri is ongoing at the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi.

The ceremony will last until 14:00, after which the helicopter crash victims will be buried with a full military honor at family cemeteries.

A border police helicopter on a rescue operation in Gudauri crashed on Friday, July 29, killing 8 people.
