Georgian service members claim 22 medals at US Marine Corps Trials for injured troops

The Georgian team returned from the United States Marine Corps Trials, an international competition for injured service members, with 22 medals under their belt [8 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze].

Hosted February 26 - March 12 in California, the competition saw the 10-member team involved in 7 categories and earning gold medals in rowing, cycling and shot put. They were also awarded silver and bronze medals in shooting, running, sitting volleyball and archery.

Injured service members of the Georgian Defence Forces have participated in the Marine Corps Trials since 2014, with the team joining counterparts from Colombia, Estonia, France, Italy, Netherlands and the UK in 2023 edition.
