The National Museum of Georgia expresses its grief over the fire that occurred in the Art Gallery of occupied Abkhazia on January 21. This was mentioned in the statement issued by the museum.

“The National Museum expresses its readiness to help the specialists of the art gallery in the process of restoration of damaged exhibits and, for this purpose, to create a special group from the restorers of the Shalva Amiranashvili State Museum of Art”, - reads the statement of the National Museum.

In occupied Sukhumi, the “Golden Fund” of Abkhazian artists was burned - about 4,000 paintings were destroyed.
