The Speaker of the Parliament announced GEL 3 billion would be invested in the country’s agriculture between 2025 and 2028.
In his Facebook post, Shalva Papuashvili pointed out objectives for 2028, forecasting agribusiness output to reach GEL 24 billion and agricultural exports to rise to GEL 2.3 billion.
He also highlighted the output of agribusiness had risen from GEL 7.6 billion to GEL 16.6 billion, while agricultural exports had increased from GEL 511 million to GEL 1.44 billion over the past 12 years.
