New Football Centre named after Kakha Kaladze opens in Samtredia

The Kakha Kaladze Football Centre was opened in Samtredia as part of the Georgian Football Federation’s infrastructural initiatives.

The centre is intended for 200 spectators. Local children’s football schools and girls’ teams will be allowed to utilise this facility for free.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, attended the ceremony. In his comments, Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the significance of the facility, calling it a “very important infrastructure” that would benefit local children by providing them with the opportunity to “develop their skills and pursue their sporting achievements”.

“I want to congratulate you on this extraordinary day. I am very delighted to see so many smiling faces, especially among the kids. Today is truly special, as we celebrate the creation of an important infrastructure in Samtredia. We are exceptionally talented people, we have exceptionally talented children, and I am sure that many more champions will grow up in this stadium”, - said the Head of the Government.
