Georgian Infrastructure Minister participates in Road Safety and Sustainability Conference and Exhibition in Saudi Arabia

Georgian Infrastructure Minister highlighted the country’s “unique” geographic position in fostering global connectivity at the Road Safety and Sustainability Conference and Exhibition in Saudi Arabia.

Irakli Karseladze provided updates on development of the international road network in Georgia, revealing 367 km of corridors were currently operational and adding new highways were being constructed in line with road safety standards.

He addressed the potential of leveraging innovative engineering solutions, smart technologies, and artificial intelligence to enhance road safety measures: “Leveraging modern technologies and innovative engineering solutions is crucial for road safety and sustainable development. By incorporating tools like artificial intelligence and smart information management systems, we can create significantly more efficient infrastructures. We have shared key updates on the advancement of road infrastructure in Georgia. By exchanging successful experiences, we can integrate contemporary solutions into our reality, enabling us to develop projects with even greater effectiveness”.
