Tetritskaro Court judge Vladimer Khuchua confirmed the vote secrecy violation in the October 26 elections, annulling the results of the 30 precincts.
The Georgian Young Lawyers Association’s [GYLA] called this decision “an important precedent”.
It noted that following the examination of several ballot papers from the Tsalka and Tetritskaro districts, the court confirmed that the visibility of ink on the other side of the paper constituted a violation of the ballot secrecy.
As GYLA said, it “welcomes this decision and underscores its importance for ensuring democratic election process”.
