Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze participates in 29th UN Climate Change Conference, in Baku

Prime Minister of Georgia is taking part in the 29th UN Climate Change Conference, in Baku.

The leaders participating in the conference are hosted by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan.

Irakli Kobakhidze attended the opening session of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit and the High-Level Meeting of Heads of State and Government. In keeping with tradition, the leaders of the summit’s participant states took a joint picture.

Under the conference, Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver speeches at the COP29 Leaders’ Summit and panel discussions to be held in a round-table format on a variety of topics.

The Head of Georgian Government is participating in COP29 in the company of a delegation consisting of First Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
