The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with Zhou Qian, the Chinese Ambassador to the country.

The officials discussed cooperation in the areas envisaged by the strategic partnership agreement between the nations and the positive dynamics of the development of trade and economic ties.

The Head of the Government once again expressed his condolences to the Ambassador over the devastating earthquake in China, which claimed many lives, wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The meeting stressed that the free trade agreement, visa-free travel, and people-to-people connections were representing a great opportunity for further development of bilateral relations. The parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen “result-oriented” cooperation.
