There is really no tangible evidence that would essentially prove that any election manipulation took place during the parliamentary elections - Kalandarishvili

There is no evidence to prove that any manipulation had occurred in the parliamentary elections. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Central Election Commission.

“Opposition’s statements regarding the Central Elections Commission are absolutely controversial and mutually exclusive. We hear absolutely controversial, mutually exclusive statements. On the one hand, a request is made to the institution that it should make the information public that does not actually belong to public information and its protection is ensured by law. On the other hand, they also distrust the institution regarding its actions.

“There is really no tangible evidence that would essentially prove that any election manipulation took place during the parliamentary elections. This may only serve the purpose of creating an alibi that in case of further dissemination of relevant information, all of this will be assessed as if they were talking about all of this in advance”, - said Giorgi Kalandarishvili.

He expressed “full readiness” to cooperate with the relevant authorities and to provide all necessary information to the investigation that would be important for considering the merits of the case and making an appropriate decision.
