The Prime Minister of Georgia said the situation in the country was under control amid ongoing protest rallies, further adding that the Maidan scenario encouraged by the United National Movement [UNM] had failed.
In his remarks at a press conference, Kobakhidze noted that certain groups, including violent factions, had shifted their focus to causing even “minor damage” to the country’s interests.
“After the collapse of the UNM-encouraged Maidan scenario, we see that certain forces, violent groups, are trying to harm our country’s interests, including targeting business activities, etc. However, these efforts are doomed to failure. This is the final task these individuals are attempting to carry out. Everything is under control, the UNM-encouraged Maidan scenario has failed, and the country’s interests will be fully protected”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
