There is absolutely no basis to question the legitimacy of the government – it is hard to imagine what grounds or arguments forces hostile to Georgia could bring forward. Such a statement made today David Matikashvili, Chairman of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee.
“Elections were held in our country, which, according to the OSCE/ODIHR report, were positively evaluated. A specific and significant note was made that the Central Election Commission conducted these elections at a very high standard.
There is no basis to question the legitimacy of the elections. Therefore, it is hard to imagine what grounds or arguments could be brought forward by forces hostile to Georgia if they attempt to make any negative decisions in any form”, - said David Matikashvili.
