Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze meets UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Prime Minister of Georgia met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The Head of Georgian Government, together with his delegation, was hosted by the UAE President at his residence.

The conversation at meeting focused on various directions of bilateral cooperation, the positive dynamic in deepening investment and economic ties. Irakli Kobakhidze pointed out that his Government welcomes UAE investments and the interest of major development and logistics companies in investing in Georgia. In this context, the large investment of Abu Dhabi Ports Group in the Tbilisi Dry Port project-expected to open officially in 2025-was emphasized, so was the successful completion of negotiations with EMAAR, a major developer, as a result of which multibillion investments will be made in Georgia.

The Government of Georgia expressed its interest in continuing negotiations with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in order to further expand cooperation in the direction of strategic logistics and transport projects.

Attention in the meeting was also paid to regional challenges and the special importance of stability.

The Prime Minister of Georgia invited the UAE President to hold an official visit to Georgia.
