The Sports Committee reviewed and unanimously approved its 2025 Action Plan during today`s session.

"Our action plan for this year outlines four strategic objectives: legislative activities, oversight functions, activities based on the principles of transparency, accountability, and public engagement, and the development of the Committee’s organizational capabilities. We have defined a range of tasks to achieve these objectives, and all Committee members will participate in their implementation", - said Victor Sanikidze, Chairman of the Committee.

As he explained, special attention will be given to the development of sports infrastructure across the country, increasing the participation of children and school-aged youth in sports, supporting the activities of sports organizations and federations, and implementing the annual program for the development of anti-doping activities by the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency.

The Committee will continue to hold offsite sessions and working meetings in various districts, engaging with local municipal authorities, sports organizations, and athletes to promote the development of sports policy. During the same session, Committee members also acknowledged the Sports Committee`s 2024 annual activity report. Both documents will be submitted to the Bureau of the Parliament.
