Georgian citizen Irakli Bebua, who was arrested by the authorities of occupied Abkhazia in 2020 and sentenced to 9 years in prison, will leave prison on March 30, 2025.
According to the Ekhokavkaza, this was announced by the so-called Minister of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia, Robert Kiut.
He denied that Bebua would leave prison early. As Kiut explained, he was sentenced to 9 years, although Bebua was supposed to spend 4 years and 6 months in prison: “No one is going to release Bebua early, everything is happening in accordance with the article and the sentence that the [so-called] court issued to him”.
