The hostile act recently adopted by the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee still has a considerable journey to become law. Such a statement made today Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament.
“This was passed in the Senate before March 31, and it appears to serve as a provocation to incite protests, rally public sentiment, and ignite unrest in the capital. There are significant questions surrounding the motives for this.
This is particularly interesting given that the Trump administration has declared a full-scale war on the Deep State, which continues to wield influence and can drive agencies to adopt measures that are detrimental to Georgia”, - said Archil Gorduladze.
The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee has supported the MEGOBARI Act. The bill, called the “Mobilizing and Enhancing Georgia’s Options for Building Accountability, Resilience, and Independence Act” (MEGOBARI), was introduced in the House of Representatives by Congressman Joe Wilson last year.
