Intermittent rainfall is expected to persist across Georgia until Friday, May 16, with some areas likely to experience heavy showers, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds.
According to the National Environment Agency, the anticipated precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels in rivers, flash floods in smaller waterways, and the activation of landslide and mudflow processes in the country’s hilly and mountainous regions.
The risk level has been assessed as medium.
