Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Didier Trebucq, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Georgia.
The meeting highlighted the importance of joint efforts in implementing the 2026-2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. It was noted that the five-year initiative is based, on the one hand, on Georgia`s national priorities and, on the other, reflects the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting also underscored the long-standing and productive cooperation between the Government of Georgia and United Nations agencies, which has contributed to strengthening the country`s institutional capacities and supporting the implementation of consistent reforms.
The sides discussed the human rights and humanitarian situation in Georgia`s occupied territories. The important role of the United Nations in protecting the rights of conflict-affected populations was also highlighted.
