An information meeting was held on the use of digital technologies in viticulture

With the support of the Scientific-Research Center of Agriculture and SST (Sensors & Smart Technologies), an information meeting was held for viticulturists on the topic of "the use of agrometeorological stations and sensors in primary grapevine production".

The goal of the session was to introduce viticulturists to modern technologies for climate and environmental monitoring in vineyards, as well as the opportunities and practical value of their use.

Viticulturists learned about the capabilities of agrometeorological stations and sensors. Emphasis was placed on forecasting the risks of grapevine diseases and pests, properly planning phytosanitary measures, and effectively managing irrigation water and other resources. Practical use cases of these technologies in vineyard management were also presented. Particular attention was paid to mitigating climate and natural risks and exploring opportunities to increase production efficiency in viticulture

In the scope of the meeting, participants also discussed the challenges and possible future steps on the implementation of digital and innovative technologies in viticulture.

SST (Sensors & Smart Technologies) is a technology consulting company operating in Georgia since 2023. The company develops sensor-based digital solutions and works to implement them in the fields of agriculture, urban management, environmental monitoring, and natural catastrophe risk management.
