Georgia is among the top-20 countries in the world in terms of crime control efficiency

The European Commission, within the framework of the World Justice Project`s Rule of Law Index, has published new findings on crime control.

According to the assessment, Georgia scored 92% out of 100, ranking 17th worldwide.

With this result, Georgia outperforms 6 of the G7 countries [all except Japan] as well as 24 EU and NATO member states, including the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Albania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Malta, Belgium, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, North Macedonia.

Globally, Singapore leads the index for crime control effectiveness, while in Europe the top performer is Norway. The weakest results were recorded in Mexico and Venezuela. The study was conducted by the World Justice Project, an organisation headquartered in the US.
