Head of Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia, together with his deputy and the Head of the Investigation Department, visited the Kakheti regional structural unit, where he held a meeting with the senior officials and employees of the unit.

At the meeting, Merab Gamkrelidze was briefed on the activities carried out to combat crime in the Kakheti region and on preventive measures.

The Head of Investigation Service noted that, in order to protect the country’s economic interests, it is necessary to implement effective measures to combat financial and economic crimes. He highlighted the importance of a high level of professional responsibility and effective work in preventing, detecting and investigating crime in the region.

Merab Gamkrelidze thanked the employees for their work and gave them relevant instructions. Following the meeting, the Head of Investigation Service inspected the building and working spaces of the Kakheti regional structural unit.

Merab Gamkrelidze will continue holding working meetings at regional structural units in the future.
