Officers of Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 6 people, including 3 foreign citizens, in Batumi at different times on charges of illegal purchase and storage of large and particularly large amounts of narcotics.

Law enforcement officers as a result of personal search, and search activities held in detainees’ temporary residential apartments and vehicles, seized various types of narcotics as evidence, including: more than 1 kilogram of “dried marijuana” and up to 400 grams of synthetic drugs.

The investigation is underway under the second and third parts of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
