Giorgi Kbirikashvili states that the government is not involved in the litigation between the owners of Rustavi2. According to him, it is in the government’s interests to leave the TV company unchanged.

" The case of Rustavi 2 has two dimensions - the first of them is linked to its ownership. We can not and will not interfere in the court proceedings. There is second direction is media freedom. I have made thousands of announcements in support of Rustavi2 as a prime Minister . I have offered different tools - to create a media board, which would unite civil society leaders, NGOs and the media specialists to ensure their media policy. "- said Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
