After the visit of Sergei Lavrov to the occupied Abkhazia, the Russian Foreign Ministry publishes a summarizing statement.

According to the statement, during the visit the issues of deepening bilateral relations, cooperation in regional and international directions, where the format of the Geneva discussions was mentioned, were discussed.

"The Foreign Minister`s visit has given Abkhazia a new impetus in the development of Russian-Abkhazian relations based on the principle of alliance and strategic partnership," the statement reads.
