It is noteworthy that the additional vacancy was needed in the prosecutor`s office to appoint Giorgi Badashvili.

"The Chief Prosecutor requested to add a vacancy, which was approved by the Government of Georgia. As a result, the relevant amendment was introduced to the staff list," - said Justice Ministe, Tea Tsulukiani.
The parliamentary majority say that the information spread by the opposition according to which Giorgi Badashvili was a man of the former prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze and was transferred to the Prosecutor`s Office because of the confrontation with Minister of Finance Dimitri Kumsishvili is a "myth".

"I think his capabilities will be used at gprosecutor`s office for the common cause," -said Eka Beselia, chairwoman of the parliamentary committee on legal issues.
