The President of Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio starts official meetings in Batumi . Gianni Buquicchio is holding the first meeting with the Chairman of the Parliament. At the meeting, the Venice Commission President will once again reiterate his negative attitude towards the postponement of the election in 2024 by proportional system.

Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia stated that the meeting with the President of the Venice Commission will be attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, he is ready to make explanations.

"We can very clearly explain to Gianni Buquicchio what is the reason of this decision. Of course, it had reasons and we will discuss them. I am sure that we will have relevant response from Gianni Buquicchio,"- said Irakli Kobakhidze.
