The President of Georgia has nominated Maia Melikidze as a member of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission .

Giorgi Margvelashvili offers the candidacy of Maia Melikidze , who is currently her adviser on economic issues to the legislative body.

"Maya is a highly qualified economist, a high-profile professional, well known for society. She meets all the basic criteria that should have a member of the GNCC, "says Giorgi Abashishvili, the head of the presidential administration.

The government and the president have not been able to agree on the candidacy for vacant positions for about two years.
