Journalist who broke occupation law is in Tbilisi without any restrictions

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has no questions about Russian citizens who have violated the law on occupation. Vladimir Mamontov, editor of "Moscow Speaks" and Putins adviser, Mikheil Shvidkoy can move without any restrictions in Tbilisi.

The MIA says that the term of the crime committed by Mamontov has expired. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) claims that it does not have information about Mamontov`s violation of the occupation law after 2009, though Vladimir Mamontov was in occupied Abkhazia in 2014. The journalist also wrote on the Facebook page about his visit to occupied Abkhazia. When asked why the facts were not checked, Shalva Khutsishvili, a deputy minister of internal affairs, has no answer.

The special representative of the Prime Minister on relations with Russia, Zurab Abashidze says that he has learned about fact that the Ministry of Internal Affairs let the violator of the law into the country without any problems from TV. However, Abashidze met with Vladimir Putin`s adviser, Mikhail Shvidkoy, who arrived in Tbilisi yesterday with Mamontov.

The opposition accuses the government of ignoring the law on occupation and requests to hold resposible the Minister of Interior.
