Millions spent without tenders, Ministry of Energy may be involved in a corruption scandal. It is about financing Georgia`s participation in the exhibition held in Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Energy, which is an organizer of "Expo 2017" has simplified the contracts with 10 companies and has spent more than 2 million 700 thousand GEL in total.

Ministry of Energy has paid 72 thousand GEL for performance of "Suliko" and "Tbiliso". The agreement was signed with the head of the Patriarch`s Fund, Lasha Zhvania without tender. In exchange , Zhvania company has to taketwo Georgian singers to the exhibition held in Kazakhstan.

The exhibition titled "Energy of the Future" was held a few days ago in Astana, and the government started preparation about a year ago. Kakhi Kaladze`s office did not announce tender for any services necessary for the event and explained the decision with a lack of time.

The Civil Sector states that investigative agencies should be interested in the amount spent by the Ministry of Energy within the "Expo 2017".
