The Polish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the 10th anniversary of the August war

According to the assessment, the words spoken by President Lech Kaczynski about Russian aggression on August 12, 2008 are still topical 10 years later and the integral part of Georgia - Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region has been occupied by Russia.

"These facts underscore the main role that the solidarity based on respect for international norms is fulfilling for the security and order in Europe and around the world," the statement reads.

The Polish Foreign Ministry estimates that the joint visit of the leaders to Tbilisi is a confirmation of the commitment of these priorities.
