The parliamentary majority is waiting for the Patriarch"s position regarding the autocephaly of the Church of Ukraine.

Zaza Papuashvili, the deputy chairperson of the faction Georgian Dream - For Strong Georgia states that the position should be based on the state interests of Georgia.

The MP says that the Patriarchate should make a decision with the government.

"The Patriarchate will consider all this and make the decision with us and we should help them not to damage this country. Politics has nothing to do with it. Our future is at stake,"- said Zaza Papuashvili.
