The parliament will begin discussing the disputed proposal initiated by 9 MPs tomorrow. After the debate between the Georgian Dream"s two wings, it was decided that lawmakers will discuss the appointment of judges in an accelerated manner. The main opponent of Eka Beselia were the members of her team at the bureau session. Beselia and her accomplice Gogichaishvili, today were convincing not the parliamentary opposition but the "Georgian Dream" that the court is in danger.The parliament started to discuss the initiative today and the special meeting was held at 9 pm.
Eka Beselia and opposed to her the Chairman of the Parliament are separately collecting the supporters. If the "Georgian Dream" fails the Beselia`s bill and the lifelong appointment of judges is not be suspended, the former chairwoman of the legal committee is likely to leave the party. According to the "Courier`s" informs, Beselia will not be thw only one to leavem she will be accompanied by a minimum of three MPs from Ivanishvili"s team.
Leaders of the ruling party who are skeptical about the initiative of their teammates say they have a lot of questions. This will be a rare occasion when opponents at the sittings will be members of one political team.This is the first case in the history of the last two convocations when Beselia"s initiative will have the support of the opposition.
