20 June Events and Rebellion charge - Ombudsman demands more evidence from the Prosecutor"s Office

The events of 20 June and the uprising charge- Public Defender requests more evidence from the General Prosecutor"s Office.
The Ombudsman states that there should be no questions about political persecution. Nino Lomjaria talked about the abuse of force by law enforcers during the night of 20 June. At this stage, the Public Defender"s Office examines whether the crime was systemic.
"We start an additional study to see if these are individual crimes, or the system and regulations of Ministry of Internal Affairs are not in compliance with international standards, which are established in relation to the dispersal of the protest, "-said Lomjaria.
