Georgian Opposition calls on a special commission to conduct elections of candidates for the European Court transparently.

According to the opponents of the government there is a doubt that the commission will not act independently from the government and the ruling party will not ensure transparency of the process.

"The Council of Europe has returned the list of candidates, which is a great shame for our country. I hope at least now the Ministry of Justice will be able to hold the contest in order not to leave question marks ,"- says Otar Kakhidze, member of European Georgia.
United National Movement accuses the government of choosing the candidates according to their political affiliation as well.

The parliamentary majority is sure that there will be no questions about procedures or competence of candidates.
