According to experts, dispute between the "Inter RAO" and the Ministry of Energy may have impact on tariffs

Experts assess disputes between the Inter RAO and the Ministry of Energy. Inter RAO Dutch structures demand compensation from the Government of Georgia due to devaluation of Lari. They filed a lawsuit in the Arbitration Court.

According to experts, if the case comes to the arbitration court, the government will have to pay compensation. According to them, it will have impact on the consumer tariff in the future. Expert Paata Tsintsadze pointed out that the case ahould not reach arbitration court.

According to expert Davit Ebralidze, the AES Telasi Corporation sold clean assets to Inter RAO.

"When Inter RAO bought Telescope from AES Corporation, it was immediately reported that Inter Roua paid only 23 million dollars, and investments that were reflected in tariffs were more than 200 million which did not belong to inter RAO. It was the investment of AES corporation, " - said Ebralidze.
