Prime Ministers of Georgia and Romania receive declaration on development of relations

Prime Minister of Georgia and Romanian Prime Minister Sorin Grindenau made statements for the media. The parties adopted a joint declaration on further development of relations.

The sides discussed the security issues of the Black Sea region and the steps taken by Russia to annex Abkhazia and Tskhinvali occupied regions of Georgia. The Romanian Prime Minister said that regional and energy projects that are aimed at opening the Caspian and Black Sea Corridor are interesting for both sides,

"Georgia and Romania are a natural bridge between Europe and Asia. We are actively working on these opportunities. Accordingly, our goal is to maximize the use of transport energy potential, "Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.

The statement was made by Romania"s prime minister, Sorin Grindenau, who said that relations between Romania and Georgia were always positive.

"We have adopted a joint political statement, which deals with a wide range of cooperation , as well as the will of our countries to transfer our relationship to the next strategic stage," said Sorin Grindenau.
