Protect the Constitution - Parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition starts a movement against the constitutional amendments developed by the ruling party. The declaration will be signed today by opposition parties.

"No one will give the right to the ruling party in the 21st century to tailor the constitution to its needs. There is no other way left for the Georgian society, the political spectrum, and the non-governmental organizations other than to start a large-scale movement in the country. This declaration will finally announce this movement and it will be a civil movement to protect the constitution, "said NDP leader Bachuki Kardava.

According to Nika Rurua, one of the leaders of the UNM, the package of amendments is the recipe for one- ruler government, which was created at the order of Bidzina Ivanishvili.
