The first universal public discussion of constitutional amendments is over. During the discussion, part of the constitutional commission members protested over the issue of undistributed mandates, blocking of the blocks and the rule of direct election of the president.

The rule of distributing of mandates offered by the Georgian Dream reminded the representatives of the parliamentary minority of Benito Mussolini`s system.

The heated discussion followed the issue of parliament`s location. According to the ruling team, despite the constitutional amendments, Kutaisi will not lose the status of the parliamentary city, which according to Irakli Kobakhidze, the city acquired years ago for political motives.

In addition to the ruling team, the opposition was also opposed by other participants of the meeting today. Some of them had complaints to such parties whose representatives did not attend public discussion at all.
